Growing up around the coastal waters and their incorporated activities on the Texas Gulf provided the experience needed to create our spectacular builds. Learning to fish with family on the local pier delivered just enough love for fishing for our founder to start this venture. In these later years, he still fishes on a weekly basis with a local guide, but the fish seem to come easier when you’re on the water in a Fat Cat boat. With these experiences allowing him to start the company, the goal of Fat Cat is to utilize our knowledge of fabrication, tooling, rigging, and, most of all, fishing to provide boats with amazing performance and design to fellow anglers along the Texas Gulf.
To ensure that the best boats are provided to the Gulf’s fishermen, we focus on bringing light weight builds without having to choose between weight and durability or strength. We use no wood in our designs, and our fiberglass fabrication for the hull and cap of the boats is all hand laid. Additionally, our unique chambered floating system operates like chambers in ships and inflatables that are ocean durable. We consistently work to put out new designs and customized upgrades for our current models, while any existing model is eligible for any upgrade you can come up with.
